Hi ladybug! Welcome to CWE.

I went for close to 20 years seizure free (except the odd breakthrough one when exhausted..) and then suddenly started having seizures once a month....Then I switched onto an different med (recently got pregnant.) and now, no seizures...it may be that your hubbies med no longer works for him. It does happen. Wait and see if the upped dosage works. If not, he may need to switch meds. But definetely check out the link Bernard suggested, and have your hubby start keeping a journal of the following:
1. Food and drink (what he eats and drinks, when, how much....)
why- because low blood sugar can trigger seizures...as well as too much caffeine
2. Sleep (how many hours uninterrupted sleep is he getting?)
WHy- sleep deprivation is a common trigger
3. stress (Any sources of stress and what he does to relieve stress...)
why- stress is a common trigger
4. Odd feelings (odd smells/tastes/sounds/feelings/smells, migraines..when do they happen and for how long?)
why- these might be auras
5. Any seizures (when, how long they last, where, and what he was doing prior....)
6. OTC meds...
By using the journal, you're looking to see if there is a pattern...if there is anything triggering the seizures...and it might be something small, like a fever when having the flu...or maybe using an antihistamine during a cold....or even low blood sugar (that triggers me...and I have a history of dibetes in the family, so I definitely need to watch out for that....)
Hope this helps.
