When you have a SPS, do you sometimes know when it's going to end? I'm being tested for SPS and I recently relized that sometimes I yawn or give out a long breathe/sigh when I'm about to stop starring. Does anyone else do this?
Plus, just in general, What are your simple partial seizures like?

Nothing like that for me. Mine are nocturnal, so they end with me going back to sleep and feeling crappy the next day.

Same, except my partner usually hears me smacking my lips and wakes me up... Nothing else to do but go back to sleep and expect to feel like :poop: in the morning.

Hm... I don't think I've known when mine were going to end... they just did. Though I haven't paid much attention. If they DIDN'T end for a long period of time, they progressed to fuzzy headedness/etc., and I found myself lying in bed afraid it was going to progress to a flow blown tonic clonic seizure... At the end of these particularly long simple partials I found myself with a headache and really sleepy (I'm conscious through all of this).

The same thing happens to me after certain simple partials. Sometimes I also feel like my brain is burning. For a really good time, my body may throw in a little nausea for kicks. This always results in a headache and romantic visions of my bed.... so sleepy.

when I come out I am usually pretty confused, I feel almost drunk. I can't tell when I am coming out of it though.

I usually feel weak and tired. Now since Im aware of what is going on during the seizure, i feel kind of confused when the seizure is over, and just overall feel like a mad truck hit me.

I could never tell when I was coming out of a simple partial. I would have a warning which was usually a strange dream & an urge to go to the toilet then remember nothing until the seizure was over.
Often after I came out of a simple partial seizure I would be a little confused or maybe a little tired.

Mine would usually end by me feeling like I should be paying attention but I couldn't, that's when i know my brain is coming back either that or my sister saying "would you just listen to me"

I usually don't know when I've had a seizure or when I've come out of it unless there is someone there to see me have it. I may feel sort of weird then a little later I'll have a horrible headache then I'll know that I've had one.

When my husband sees me have a seizure he says that I'll start coughing when I start to come out of it. I might still be a little out of it after that but the coughing is the sign that it is over.

when I come out of a seizure I usually don't have any idea of how long it lasted. I usually have to rely on the people around me to tell me of the length and severity of the seizure. I'm sure these factors dertermine how long the recovery period is.

My partials usually result in a tonic-clonic seizure; I can usually tell when the aura of de ja vu or seeing my memories of college play out in front of me that what follows will not be pleasant. It's an indescribable feeling--like being awake in a daydream. In addition to these feelings, I also get a lot of autonomic symptoms, feeling the urge to vomit, pee, and drink at the same time--also with tachycardia--and the urge to run (for no reason). I was getting those 4-5x/day, when they put me on Lamictal, these decreased dramatically. The MD told me these simple partial misfires usually spread to other parts of the brain, causing a generalized seizure. I get somewhere safe--as GTC follows in approx 15-30 mins.

I can't tell when they end. All I know is that I feel really tired after I have a simple partial and sleep a lot.

My seizures have changed over the years, at first my husband would tell me I was smacking my lips and swallowing hard for several times. I would always be left with the feeling ---SCARED--

I never new when a seizure was coming to an end.

Hmm,

Mine are exactly like yours. Generally it's because I'm breathing quite shallow while "staring" so I do a rather deep breath right before coming out of it. Then usually the confused look finger moving depending on how good of a one it was...
