As anyone ever been known to hum, sing or laugh when having a seizure of some type? My 5 yr old son was diagnosed earlier this year with complex partials. He has been on Trileptal since April. We just upped his dosage this past week because he was still having simple partials (hearing me call his name and tasting his fingers in his mouth). I just left a meeting with his teacher and she informed me that at times he will hum, sing or laugh at random. She knows of his condition so she was not sure if this was part of a seizure. Unfortunately, being new to all this, I myself do not know if it is either. Has anyone else ever experienced this before?

Oh yes, When I was younger my parents used to call my seizures "laughing spells" (at least around me). Even as an adult I still laugh occasionally but for anyone who knows me well (parents & my brother) they can tell the difference between a seizure laugh & my normal laugh.
