I don't know what happened.

I was hoping for some help on what I should do. I have not been diagnosed with epilepsy. A doctor just suggested it may be seizures.

I had an appointment with that doctor and he said that if I do have epilepsy the medication I am on will make them worse. That I will have a grand mal seizure and if I do have one of those I should come back.

I didn't have any "spells" that the doctor thinks could be seizures on the medication for two months but recently my dose was increased. Well then I donated blood for the first time. I felt perfectly fine after the donation. Then an hour later this disorientation hit me and I was able to sit down. I must have gotten up though after I sat up, but I don't remember. I woke up on the bathroom floor in the corner on my knees with my hair caught on the sink cabinet. I must have banged my head on the sink because I have a bump in between my eyes. Afterwards I laid on the floor for two hours before going to the ER. I am not sure if it was because I banged my head or what but I just felt lightheaded. The only other symptom I had was my left leg and arm felt like they were falling asleep/numb? That lasted for hours after the incident happened. The ER doctors checked everything out and couldn't figure out why I fainted.

Which brings my question, I would always get this feeling in my stomach before I had "spells" that the doctor said sounded like seizures. I didn't get that feeling this time (I don't think, my memory of the start is like fragmented moments), so is it safe to say that I experienced was not a grand mal seizure? That the "spells" I experience would start out the same and then just escalate if my medication was making them worse? Any help anyone could offer would be great.

Just out of curiosity, what medication are you on that will "make the seizures worse"?

Since it was unwitnessed, there's no way to know exactly what happened after you gave blood. (And as you say, your memory may be faulty.) Some people faint or become dizzy after giving blood, due primarily to dehydration. That may be what happened to you. After you woke up, did you have a very sore back, and/or a bitten tongue? If so, that would tend to suggest a seizure. Not having those things doesn't rule a seizure out, but it does make fainting seem the more likely scenario.
