From someone who doesn't have E -- yeah, I get hypnic jerks, but maybe once a month... maybe. And it's normally a whole body thing, and not just the legs (because you feel like you're falling, so your body responds like you're falling).

My husband does this as he is falling asleep...it reminds me of dogs running in their sleep :roflmao:. No sound is involved. Once they stop he starts snoring and I know he is finally out, lol. It is the only time he does it.

My twitching on the other hand is quite different and I guess you would say rhythmic? I get a sensation of energy bunching between my shoulder blades and running up my spine then it lets loose (?) and my head jerks to the right and back real quick twice. If its my right leg then the energy runs down my spine and my leg jerks twice. Less frequently it will be my right arm and hand. I can't stop it...if I try the jerk is more exaggerated. I guess this is a simple-partial according to the Dr; I'm getting really confused about everything right now. This happens more frequently than any of my seizures.

horsehead...have they done any more metabolic testing on you yet?
