Honestly I keep doing things like this one---this the second time I've done this. In fixing my weekly meds. I messed up on my 10:00 PM dose. I have been having seizure form days (simple partials lasting only 3 seconds) but I'm in a constant state of FEAR.

Knowing I have done this before, I thought I was extra careful when fixing them.

I know this so small compare to what I've read what some of you go through.

JUst mad at myself.

Need to find the methodical rhythm....keep trying....

we all mess up with meds, E or not....like take it and turn around and ask, did I take that?

We all get confused, so you are not on your own.

The southern is coming out, I saying fixing it, I mean putting all of my meds. into a week pill container.

It shouldn't be this hard to done, I have take 1/2 of this pill, then 1/4 of that pill.

These are not my seizures meds. However I have to take 1/2 tablet of Clonazepam every 4 hours. when I was cutting them in half. I made the mistake of putting 1/2 tablet in My 10:00PM pill container. I take 1 whole tablet at that time.

Oh, now I get it. I'm fixin' to fill my pill box now with all those darned pills and without splittin' any of 'em in two. Then I gotta go and have a nap!

Splitting clonazepam in wrong proportions did bring on some terrible seizures for me before. Just to make you feel better... :D

What do you mean by "fixing them"? Do you use any sort of pill box? Something similar to this is what I use:

http://www.discount-wholesale.co.uk/csi/327680/i/pzi/a-00132_seven_day_pill_box_-_medical_chest.jpg

I use a box just like that. I wouldn't be able to keep things straight without it. I don't always remember whether I have already take one of the doses, but if it's there, I know I haven't taken it! The fact that I can't always remember that makes me even more certain that I need the box.

When you cut your pills? When you get the pescription filled or do you wait and do it weekly? When I had to take half a pill I'd split it in half right when I got them filled so it was easier to know that I had to take half of that one.

Maybe drawing a picture of the pill case on a piece of paper and write down what pill goes where and what the dosage is. You could mark it as 1/2 or 1/4 of a pill instead of the milligrams too.

Also if you can have someone double check it just to make sure things are right.

I use a day and night pill box so I can keep track of the different doses. I am like Arnie. I can take them and not remember, but I just have to look at the box to know for sure. Yours sound much more difficult with having to split pills. Not fun.

I cut them weekly as I'm preparing pill boxes.

My cloazepam I take 1/2 every 4 hours, then 1 tablet at 10PM.

I also have to cut my dogs meds. he has seizures also.

you be ok,i forget them....if you had virus infection and throwing up you no get them in bloodstream...
lordy girl if it causing you distress then dont negate what you suffering...i would suggest you go see dr if this perist the partials forgetting the odd pill or not take on dot of time is no cause for fear...i always doing it but going around in constant fear not good make you worse sound like panic attacks and they are awful..
you can get pill pots that give little alarm noise thought about that

I've missed a pill or taken an extra one by accident a few times and it's never caused any problems, just don't make a habbit out of it.

I have alarms on my cell phone that I have set to go off when it's time to take my morning, afternoon and evening meds. If I didn't have this I'd probably forget to take my them half the time.

Did you mess up taking your meds or did you take your dogs meds?

If you took your dogs then keep your dog's meds in a completely different place from your own? Maybe in a different cubbord or room? This way you can do yours then do his without worring about getting them mixed up. Getting your dog his own pill box could help too.

I seem to mess up when I cut my all these diff. meds.- I answer a phone call then go back to working on my pill boxes.
I do keep my dogs meds in a diff. room.
