I finally got my medication!

I am so relieved to finally have some brand name on hand!

It took me over two weeks to fight with the insurance, the pharmacy and my drs! Im sick of having to do this!

I went to the local pharmacy, picked up a 30 day supply of the Keppra XR. I even found on keppraxr.com a coupon which saved me $15! Instead of having to pay $40 for a month supply, I paid $25, which comes out to the same amount I would pay if I went through the online pharmacy.

So Im glad Im getting what I need at my local pharmacy for the price I was paying through the online pharmacy! The only reason why I went through them in the first place!

Then I had a suprise when I picked up the Keppra XR! I saw my neuro office had given me 5 refills! :) Which helps me out ALOT!

Ive decided to have them cancel the prescription that the drs sent in to the online pharmacy on 12/3. Anyway I look at, if I order it, which I cant til at least Jan 13th, I wont have enough medication on hand for the time that it takes to process and ship the medication to me. So Im going to cancel that one and just keep going to my local pharmacy to get the medication.

I spoke with a gentleman at the keppra xr savings program and he said each month they put out a new coupon for savings up to $30. As long as you get at least a 30 day supply, they will honor the savings! As long as they do that, Im all for it! :)

Oh yes it does! I was so worried I had to go back to the generic because of not having enough brand name on hand. It took me a good week after switching back to the name brand to start feeling like myself again! I didnt want to have to go through that again!

Now I can focus on christmas shopping! LOL :)

What great news and weight off your shoulders....they cant sya you did not give it your all...

now back to seizure freedom :)
 
Yeap. I gave it my all when it came to fighting with them!

Yes I was very suprised to see they gave me 5 refills. It was like trying to pull teeth to get them to give me a 30 day supply! First time I asked, instead of getting a 30 day supply, I got a 7 day supply from the "on call" dr on the weekend I had the break through seizures. The next time I asked, was during last week, when I got ahold of the nurse. she said sure... then come to find out, it was again... a "30 tablet" supply.... not 30 day supply! She ordered 750mg tablets... and I take 4 a day... which would give me 28 tablets in 7 days.... come to find out, the insurance wouldnt approve that, because they put 30 tablets down... meaning the dose was too high! Of course it would be... Its two more extra tablets! LOL

Im just glad I got the refills and I can get on with my life. It was like my life was on hold for the last two weeks!
