Hi Brain
I'm really sorry to hear that you've had a bad episode!! I know how you feel, I have actually fallen onto a trash bin before, the one in our kitchen has a huge dent in it, from me falling on it one day during a bad wobbler! I hope you are feeling a wee bit better by the time you read this!
I know how much I hate having epilepsy, but the way I deal with it is to think of all the folks in the world with so much worse things to deal with than me. When I was in Bangkok, I saw a young girl singing in the street, she held a out a tin and was asking for money, when I got closer to her, I could see that not only was she blind, but she actually had no eyes, just skin over the sockets, I think to be blind would be the worst disability!!!!! I just love life so much, architecture, nature, world travel, and to not be able to see anything is unimaginable! I filled up with tears, walked up to her, took her wrist, told her that I thought her singing was totally beautiful, and put some money in her little pot. I promised myself there and then, that I would never forget her, and I haven't, this was Dec 2006.
My dad's partner is battling cancer for a second time, I'm in awe of her and how she deals with it! So what, I go wonky every so often, and dribble and talk a load of cobblers?! Most blokes do that every Friday and Saturday night!! I love life, and I so have to laugh at my epilepsy, it gets me through!!
I really do hope you are on the mend, you must have one special son eh for him to look after you like that, bless you both!
Best Wishes
Elaine xx
