A week ago I went into the er after my sister found me having seizures at my home by myself. Unable to stop them she called the ambulance and off I went. I spent the night. The next day I was epilepsy monitoring unit. 5 days Doctor wanted to keep me longer. So they reduced all of my medications except for the Tegretol. So in a matter of 5 days I was taken off of Keppra and Lamictal. The reason you ask? Because what they saw last November during the Ambulatory EEG they don't see now. So now I'm back to the PNES label again. :soap: When the doctor came to see me last Thursday. He was talking blah blah and I told him I want to go home. His answer was we just took you off all that medication and we'd like to watch you for a couple of days. My reply to him was you walking in every day to tell me my seizures aren't showing on the EEG isn't helping me any. I would be better off at home. He agreed and released me. I have decided to accept the label. Even though I'm still suspicious I'm just tired of fighting it. So starting Wednesday this is a psychological issue and not neurological one. At this point I'm just ready to move on put this behind me and look forward to the future.
