I recieved word from my drs office today and instead of weaning me off the Keppra once I get fully on Lamictal, they are going to start weaning me off the Keppra now, and go ahead with taking the Lamictal too. I am at 3000mgs of Keppra now, each week I go down 250mgs til Im completely off of it.

With the Lamictal, I increase it 25mgs each week. Starting tomorrow, I will go up to 50mgs in the morning, and 50mgs at night, the next week will be 75mgs twice a day, the next week 100mgs twice a week, and then my final dose would be 200mgs twice a day.

Im eager to see how things go with getting off the Keppra. Ive been on it for years now and Im suprised he wants to take me off. He seems to think my emotions are from Kepprage, so he wants me off of it.

Another big change then. I really hope the lamictal works for you, changing medications is so bloody hard on the body!

Oh yeah, a big change again. Im nervous at how my body is going to react to it too. Im so use to being on Keppra. Im hoping the lamictal works too. Im praying it does. I cant stand to go from one medication to another. The next three months will be a challenge for me. It will take at least that long for me to get off the Keppra due to coming off of it slowly.
