I've found scabs on my head, and the only way I could have gotten them is from falling from a seizure and I don't know what's going on with me.

I'd appreciate any input please.:twocents:

If the bonk on the head was bad enough to leave scabs, you could also have a concussion. You really should see a doctor sooner rather than later.

:hugs:

Have you ever fallen during a seizure before or is this a new thing? If falling is something new during a seizure, or if it's something that's happening more often if it is, I'd let your neuro know asap. You might be having a change in what type of seizures you are having.

The meds you are on could not be working and it's possible that you might need a change in the dosage or the med itself.

My husband has found me on the floor before after a seizure but we think I just sat down or laid down because if I had fallen he would have heard it.

You might want to see your PCP too. If you're finding scabs on your head there could be a chance that you might have caused some serious damage.

I've fallen during lots of seizures that's nothing new I'm finding scabs on me not remembering anything at all happening.

I'm planning on calling my neuro tomorrow and he will call me back tomorrow or the next day.

Do you remember yourself falling, before or after the scabs started happening, or has it always been a black out?

Do you find yourself close to anything that you could have hit your head on after you come out of the seizure like a chair, table or even the wall or are you not near anything? If your close to something there's a chance you hit your head on it. If not then you might have crawled away from it. I don't know if walking around a seizure or something like that is a normal thing for you or not? Does your head hurt where you might have hit it? If not I wonder if you could have even scratched the scabs in your head?

One time I fell down during a seizure and fell on our marble table. Bob had to call the 911 and to the hospital I went. I was bleeding real bad.

Since you had scAbs, were you bleeding?

I hope you feel better.

:hugs:

You may had a seizure because of the scabs on the head I would have it checked out and let your neuro know. Sometimes I not sure If I had a seizure, over the weekend I woke up feeling alright but realized I had bitten my tongue so I mave have had a minor seizure I did not have any of the other usual signs. In your case I would say err on the side of caution.

I would have had the seizure outside while walking my dog in either the complex I live in or a neighbor nearby.

I think you should see your doctor and find out if you had a concussion.

I hope you feel better.

Belinda, have you heard from your doctor yet?

I hope you feel better.:hugs:

I have had somewhat more frequent falls lately, almost always accompanied by seizures. It seems as though my brain stops communicating with my body, and my legs give out. I am worn out from many days and nights of not sleeping enough, and moving. I have had a few more episodes where I impersonate a drunken person. I walk in circles, and can't find "center." I bump my head sometimes, but the bump normally provokes a seizure, rather than being a consequence of one.

Ruth,

I never heard from my neuro his secretary again is not giving messeges again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She was out I left a message and I know there are 2 ppl with my name I left my phone number and I repeat it because I hate the way ppl talk so fast on answering machines.

Belinda,

Try calling again today. I hope your secretary gives your :doctor: the message.

:hugs:

my seizures are always changing Jen

Could it be the humidity where you live? You just had a bad storm.

When I visited my daughter back East, I had a lot of seizures. I had to come back home early.

When Bob and I were married, he was working in Fort Benning GA. That is when I started having T/C's. I got better when we moved back to CA. We live where we have dry heat.

Could it be the humidity?
