Back in October, I came here talking about if I could of gotten pregnant off a toilet seat cause I wasn't having a period and no sexual contact - it's been two months and I'm still dry. I'm still having nuasea in the morning.

To make things worse - I'm having a major increase of epileptic activity and I'm scared.

I have catamenial epilepsy and I'm having having unexpected simple partial sessions, lasting over an hour. I am missing out on work. If I have a baby on the way, how the hell am I going to take care of it?

I took 5 pregnancy tests, 2 at the docs and three at home tests. All came out negative - but can having catamenial epilepsy mess around with the tests? I know they're only like 97% accurate, so I'm wondering if my irregular hormones are making less accurate.

I finally went to a gyno for an ultrasound to confirm it - however instead, the gynocologist just wanted to argue with my assumptions, even putting the subject of pcos down. He said I'm more likely to have thyroid disease than anything else. I am very angry at him. I ended up paying $400 for something I didn't get. I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant, cause everything matches up, especially the brown discharge at the expected time of the period after my last period. Now it's too late to get an abortion(3 month rule). I'm stuck giving birth to something I don't know how I got and suffer the hell of seizure activity. I take depakote - well known for causing serious birth defects. Great.
Sometimes I just want to die. My aunt just passed away, we're having a bunch of family drama and now this.

Since the doctors nor my family support me, anything I can do for a healthier pregnancy and to at least simmer down these simple partials? Any medications know to help pregnancy in epileptics?

Thanks for all the help I can get!

This is all just a guess so don't take my word on it.

Are/were you on any type of birth control? Sometimes when you stop taking it your periods may take a while to be normal again. Even when your on it you may have irregular periods.

I went on birth control for two reasons. One, the obvious, and two was because of my periods. They were very bad. Irregular, very heavy, horrible cramps and so on. I know when I was on it I may have misses a month every so often.

I finally went on Depo-Provera (the shot) so I'd stop having them all together. Before I could start taking it I had to have a period. The gyno gave me a pill that brought on a period, maybe you could talk to him about getting one?

Some people who have seizures will be sick after a seizure. You may be having them in your sleep (not knowing you're having them) and that could be the reason for the nausea.

Some meds could make you sick. Have you changed anything with your meds? Been put on a new one or have the dosages changed?

Stress is a seizure trigger. Thinking you are pregnant I'm sure is causing stress for you. The death of someone, your aunt for example and up setting, is something that could be stress full. I had a cat who I had to put down and had a good bit of seizures after that.

Talk to your neuro about this and he may be able to give you some advice. And as I said these are all just sort of guesses.

If your gynecologist tells you that you aren't pregnant when you think you are three months along, then you really should be listening to the doc! Do consider other medical explanations for your symptoms as the doc suggests and as valerie also mentions.

You cannot get pregnant from a toilet seat. There are a multitude of things ASIDE from pregnancy love that can cause missed periods. Take a breath.

I would also have periods sometimes that were so light I really didn't know I had it. I'd look at the toilet paper and seen just a little bit of blood there, sometimes brown not red. At times I though it was poop and not blood. They may have only lasted a day or two.

At one point in my life I missed my period for a few months simply due to stress. If you've had 5 negative pregnancy tests, you are almost certainly not pregnant. As others have said, there are many possible reasons for your symptoms, and you need to push your doctors to start figuring out what is actually going on.

Have you considered going to an endocrinologist, a hormone specialist? Since your ob/gyn suggested it could be your thyroid, have you considered it? And as others have said, 5 negative pregnancy tests and no period means your hormones and are not behaving. Time to find out what the real problem is. Hormones play a HUGE role in seizures for women and can wreak havoc for some. It did for me. Sometimes I would miss my period several months. Then I would have one for almost two weeks. And it would increase my CPs and add a TC now and then. Crazy.

What Cint says, have you had an ultra sound to check on you womb / ovary health?

I had very erratic periods and had polycystic ovaries, very common but effects hormones and menstrual cycle.
