Infections and Eczema??

I developed a mild case of eczema after taking a high dosage of medication. (Tegretol XR and Lamictal) We lowered it and my eczema went away!!! I am also more prone to conjunctivitis and infections. I think that is probably due to my lowered white blood cell count. I recently have developed a few sores. :/ So I have to get those checked out. Small, but still need to be taken care of.

I am just wondering if anyone has had more infections or developed eczema after taking medications. If so what meds do you think caused this for you?

Well I suffer from psoriasis. While I was taking Trileptal & Lyrica it was too bad. I believe the Lyrica kept the worst of the side effect at bay. But the Lyrica caused it's own side effect.
After I was taken off Lyrica, the psoriasis got worse.

If I could get on a AED that works as good as Trileptal minus the side effect, I'd change in a heart beat.

Are you 100% sure the skin problems were eczema? Stevens Johnson syndrome is a well known and life threatening side effect of Lamictal:

ALTHOUGH BENIGN RASHES ALSO OCCUR WITH LAMICTAL, IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO PREDICT RELIABLY WHICH RASHES WILL PROVE TO BE SERIOUS OR LIFE THREATENING. ACCORDINGLY, LAMICTAL SHOULD ORDINARILY BE DISCONTINUED AT THE FIRST SIGN OF RASH, UNLESS THE RASH IS CLEARLY NOT DRUG RELATED. DISCONTINUATION OF TREATMENT MAY NOT PREVENT A RASH FROM BECOMING LIFE THREATENING OR PERMANENTLY DISABLING OR DISFIGURING.
