I have read that most times a diagnosis of epilepsy will not be made until there are at least 2 seizures. My daughter has only had morning myoclonic seizures. She had an EEG which led to a diagnosis of JME. She has not had a tonic clonic (knock on wood). Is this ordinary or not??

I don't see anything you mentioned that is unusual or to worry about.

You are lucky that the seizures showed up on the EEG since they don't always show.

My EEG was very indicative of epilepsy, so an epilepsy diagnosis was made after just one tonic-clonic seizure. (And subsequent seizures confirmed this diagnosis if there was any doubt).
