My first post so I'll try to keep it short (and entertaining)
I have had weird experiences most of my life. well, not weird for me. annoying at time but not the type of thing you mention to others as you learn very quickly. Saying "someone isn't who they are" isn't very conductive to be considered normal amongst others. The most common problem I had you see was that I would stop recognising someone, sometime in the middle of a conversation.
Anywho, time flew and other problems added like the jamais vu, lost time and dog headed people (don't ask) and finaly I went to the doctor after it started to impact my life (I should note I had until then been married and gainfully employed).
I was diagnosed schizophrenic and put on various and increasing amount of anti-psychotics but to no avail. When the doctor suggested we tried electroshock therapy (yes, I know its not as bad as in the movies but still) I went for a second opinion.
This doctor had this brilliant idea to actualy test me and lo and behold, it was discovered that I wasn't schizophrenic after all but had temporal lobe epilepsy. No more anti-psychotics, no more zombie state.
So now I'm on anti-seizures (topamax+epilim) and apart from being bloody tired all the time, I'm all right.
