Depakote 500mg 2 Capsules 3x Daily

Keppera 500mg 2 Tablets 3x Daily

Dilantian 100mg 5 Capsules 2 In Am 3 In Pm

Gabitril 16mg 1 In Am & 4mg 1 In Pm

I can't remember, are your seizures controlled?
 
hey- i am on keppra too. whats been your experience? wacky side affects that seem to be controlling my life. how about you?
 
Wow that's quite a combination. Any weird side effects? I'm on Keppra too. It is weird enough by itself..........
 
So I take it your doctors don't believe in monotherapy?

Do they even know the side effects of the combination that you are on?
 
NOPE, sorry

I used to be on Depakote and Dilantin. Not anymore though.
 
5 500mg of depakote daily
and i used to take dilantin
but im on phenytek now
 
I am with you on the Keppra 1500 mg / day and the Dilantin 500 / 600 mg day. However, like Joey, I take the Phenytek form of Dilantin. It is a time released version.

Wow - you are on some HEAVY dosages. I sure hope they are actually working for you. That is a lot.
 
it pretty much works but if i miss one dose then its "lights out"
 
I used to be toxic on Depakote. Yuck. It wasn't the drug. It was the doc. I am off of that now but my son is on it with topamax. I am on Keppra and Zonegran.And some other stuff.

Depakote I'm allergic to.
Keppra I'm allergic to.
I was on Dilantin 32 years.
Gabitril I'm allergic to.

It's Tegretol 1200MG a day
Topamax400MG a day
Clonazepam 2MG a day

What kind of allergic reaction did you have to Keppra?
 
I'm on keepra 1000mg but wake up at night so primary care physican gave me 1mg of xanax to sleep the night(not sure if the xanax has me sleeping though night jerks or I was just full of anxiety of seizures)but it works:noevil:
 
I had two seizures in 1985 and went into remission for 20 years

The doctors found a small bengin brain tumor 2006 after a few seizures from 2004-2006 (I didn't know they were seizures it had been so long since 1985 I thought I was fainting at first:dontknow:)removed it and I though I was done with seizures the doctor found seizure activity June 2008 and told me July 7,2008.

I'm still finding out about my night activity the xanax is temporary but puts me to sleep until my next neuro appointment.:ponder:

I used to take depakote 500mg 3x a day to control my seizures but I just kept on having them I dont like the side effects that come with the medication so I chose not to take them anymore. I havent taken anything for quite sometime and since stopping the meds I have been seizure free i think that ive found a way to control my epilepsy

My reaction to Keppra was I started itching so bad; that I started scratching my skin raw.
