Hi All

I was put on to Keppra a few months ago . After a few weeks of staggering , slurring and struggling to do the slightest thing , I have come out of the other side and feel a little more human

BUT

I am sooooooooo unexplicably tired ! I need to sleep for hours a day after having a good nights sleep . I spoke to my neuro who just told me to fight the tiredness but I cant - It is SO consuming !

Has anyone else suffered with this ?!?! Is there a magic cure anyone can recommend

Thank you in advance

from a cream crackered Andrea :) :dontknow:

Im going through that now too. Ive been on Keppra for 12 years now, but just the past month my dr was weaning me off the Keppra to put me on Lamictal. I was at 3000mgs of Keppra and got down to 2500mgs, then found out I was having an allergic reaction to the Lamictal, so I had to be taken off of that and was just left on the Keppra. Last week my dr decided to leave me on Keppra, but switch me to the Keppra XR, and since those pills come in only 750mg tablets, I had to be put back to 3000mgs. Today is day 6 of that dose and I noticed yesterday and today I cant keep my eyes open! Ive been feeling so tired and sluggish. First I thought it was allergies since Ive been outside and with the new plants growing and all, I had been feeling stuffed up too. But the more I thought about it, its probably my body's way of adjusting to the new dose of Keppra. Ive had this happen to me before, and it took a few weeks for my body to get use to it, then the tiredness went away.

After they added zonergran to my trileptal I went through that also, but as I THINK I recall, every drug I tried had that affect for awhile on me and then it slowly disappears.but not before I rush out and but pregnancy tests because that was always my first sign of being pregnant-too tired too even eat or put one foot in front of the other!
