Lead in Water Triggering Seizures

Hi Folks,
I was wondering if any of you had any info. regarding high lead levels in water and if it triggers sz. I work in a public school and I found out that the lead level in the water is very high and I've noticed I've been having a lot more sz. I usually drink only 1-2 cups of the schools water when I have hot tea in the morning. My neuro has told me that this can lead to messing up the nervous system. If anyone can relate to this or has any info. I would greatly appreciate it.Thanks for your time and help and May God Bless You!

I can't believe a public school can get away with this. I've no experience, but that can't be healthy for anyone, with or without E!

You are correct! Administrators knew about this matter back in 2005 but didn't do a darn thing about it. Now it's gotten so bad that at least 6 out of the 13 schools that are a part of this school district have high lead levels. Where I work students have been getting sick with upset stomachs and I have notices students that have any type of nervous disorder ADD, ADHD, epilepsy etc... have been having more problems. Take my word it wouldn't surprise me if the schools shuts down until this matter is taken care of. Thanks for your support and time and May God Bless You!

I have ADD, ADHD, E, Anxiety & so on........Public schools all my life.

Part of the reason could very well be 'When was the school you work in built?'. Your school could very well have some or all of the water piping as old as the school. That pipe could have lead in it as part of it's makeup. This pipe was made before it was determined that lead was harmful to humans if they were exposed to it too much. Schools were supposed to have removed ALL of this pipe, but all it takes to cause high levels of lead is a small amount of that type of pipe to be present.
This is because as this pipe wears away with usage, more of the surface of the pipe is exposed. It could also be that there was some type of corrosion inside the pipe keeping the water from contacting the pipe, with lead in it, and some new chemical in the water caused this corrosion to come off the inside surface of the pipe, exposing the water in the pipe to a totally new surface which contains the lead.:ponder:
If all of the schools that are having these high levels of lead are old. This COULD be the problem!

Hi AC,
They built the school back in 1970 or 1971 and one big problem was is they built the school on swampy ground and like you mentioned the pipes were never taken care of over they yrs. which in turn has caused a lot of problems. The state health dept. is going after the school and so are a few taxpayers because their kids or the staff at school have been getting sick. This in turn is leading to a lot of legal lawsuits. If administrators would have taken care of this matter a long time ago there wouldn't be this problem. Thanks for your support and understanding. May God Bless You!

we are talking about America a Civerlized country not third world country who kids die of lead and mercury poisoning.
There lady her first name Karen her second name begin with B for life of me I can see her name in my head but can't get it out to spell or say it,but she had similar thing happen and won her case and now helps others in similar situations you could google that broduvitch name something like that
