Hi Folks,
For yrs. I've had many more seizures during the fall and winter compared to the spring and summer. My Epileptologist told me it's all do to the lack of serotonin in the fall and winter that's triggering the seizures. This yr. I'm going to try Light therapy where I will be sitting around bright lights most of the day and evening to see if it helps. Also I was told to use lavender scents or vanilla scents that I can plug into an outlet in the house. I was wondering if any of you have ever tried light therapy to reduce your seizures. Here's wishing you all only the best. I thank you for your time and help. May God Bless You!

I have been using light therapy in the winter months for 2 years and it helps me with the winter blah's.

I flung my light out it did bugger all.i have read drinking own urine helps very much, afraid I pass on that one the condition have lot worse before tried that but maybe someone has but I doubt it though

I don't know about light therapy but scents such as lavender & some of the other essential oils will trigger a seizure for me.

Rosemary bergamot oil strongly advice don't use them.i certainly ill if I used them.If use lavender use alpine lavender As from Alps not any other mountains. It far more expensive but difference is obvious.

Hi Folks,
Thanks for all of your responses I appreciate all of your help. I'm sorry the scents don't work for some of you, I've found them to be very helpful and the lavender scent has been the best for me. Wishing all of you only the best and May God Bless You!

Try rose oil very expensive but will work cost alone you force sleep.for me using oil for short times it works.i was well impressed with alpine it smell so much clearer than stuff from ordinary health shops. Cider vinaigrette fennel powder coconut clear fresh that good.wish you best

Hi seagull,
One thing that does help me is using coconut oil on my skin it helps build up keytones in my body which in turn reduces the seizures. Thanks for the info. about the rose oil I appreciate it. Wishing you well and May God Bless You!
