Lion with seizures

I live near the Pittsburgh zoo and one of their lions has epilepsy. Unfortunately he had to be put down because of an accident from a seizure. I have two links to stories. Both are almost the same but they have great information of things that aren't in the other.

I didn't know Lions could get epilepsy! That's horrible...

The article said epilepsy is rare in lions and they thought it was genetic in this case.

I know it's pretty common in dogs, and is considered to be genetic in them too.

I once saw a dog go into a seizure at my daughter's softball game. Poor animal. But I thought, glad it is the dog and not me this time.
