Hi all. I decided it's time to find a new neurologist. I was diagnosed with E about 18 months ago and was set up with one of the very few neurologists in far Southwest Michigan. He's nice enough, but has not ordered any blood work to followup on my Keppra levels or other basic blood chemistries since I have been his patient. My primary care physician ordered the levels at my request. It also seems the neurologist's primary patient base is more post-stroke, elderly, etc., so I don't know how much experience he has with E.
My E is under good control with generic Keppra (750 mg am and pm), so it's not really an urgent matter, but I would like to find someone who has more interest/experience in treating E. I work in South Bend, Indiana, so I was hoping to find someone there, so I can make appointments before work or during lunch, to avoid taking time off for doctor's appointments.
Anybody know of a good E neurologist in the South Bend area, or for that matter, any neurologist to avoid like the plague?
Thanks for your input.
