My seizure last night that caused me to fall off the bed worse one I ever had. My friend who is a nurse thinks I may have broken my rib. I was really nauseous afterwards last night, my rib hurts really bad and is really sensitive to touch, but no visible bruising. Anyone ever broken a rib?

I have broken several ribs in the past. Rib fractures are very painful and can be slow to heal as every time you breathe the fracture lines move a bit. My fractures were simple and no ribs were comminuted. There is really no treatment for simple fractures as they cannot wrap your rib cage as that will cause your lungs not to expand properly.
Hope you feel better soon.

So sorry to hear about your rib--that is awful! I hope it's not fractured. Hubby had horrible rib pain for a month when he had pneumonia, and I was sure he had fractured a rib from coughing so hard. But it turned out he had torn a muscle. Still really painful and slow to heal, but I hope this is the case with you rather than the fracture. Not fun! =(
