Just wondering if anyone else gets memory problems or the occasional slurred speech after seizure? I've had a few in the last couple of years, and I feel I'm getting a little dumber...

I've got lots of memory problems, both short-term stuff that apparently never makes it into long-term storage, and a fair amount of long-term memories that have gotten "deleted" somewhere along the way. I'm often aware of the short-term stuff, but it's impossible to know how much long-term is gone, because I don't even know its gone until someone talks about something I should remember. Does that make sense? I know I'm not getting dumber, but I do worry sometimes about the things I'm losing . . .

(I don't have problems with slurred speech.)

Sounds weird but I used too take mental photos in my mind of certain places or objects and just store that image away. I first did it when I was a teen on a family caravan trip, just stared at a bunk bed for about 5mins (siblings had a laugh), and when I think back to that small bunk bed can recall the whole trip. My long term Memory was always pretty average just stuff mates and girlfriend would pick me up on and be "like serious? You where right there all night". Lucky ive got heaps of photos around the house, but short term sucks ATM I need to keep brain learning, solving puzzles or reading more and hope it starts to regenerate.

I have a loss for words often. Nothing to do with any seizure activity. My speech is easily slurred, too. Not good when you work in radio, but meh. The good thing is it is good to have a visual memory when you talk about technical stuff. That, I have. :)
