Has anyone gone though the trial I went through when I was first referred to a consultant, whom I sat down with for the best part of 2 mins, me explaining was happening to me (simple partial/complex), and was sent away having been told it's not epilepsy.
After being told by my gp what it COULD be, I did the research I could, and almost diagnosed myself!.
Back I went to my GP, and was referred to a different hospital, after having seen another Neurologist, a thorough discussion and THEN being told I had epilepsy.
I sometimes wish I could remember what the first consultants name was, I could try getting in touch with him, tell him he's not fit for purpose to be a consultant, and should give up his day job!.
