Just wondering how other people cope with this?

I've had complex-partial seizures for 10 years, (had no clue that's what they were), and had a tonic-clonic about 8 months ago. Been on tegretol since, but the last two months i've had 2 of my cp's again. scares me to death now the i've had the tonic-clonic.

I do the ol' lose focus, can't think straight, can't talk, very hard to focus on moving at all, then usually a headache from hell. When I have them I usually have them for 2-3 days, 3-10 a day.

Anyways....I've missed like 6 days of work now from a job i've had for 5 months. What do you guys do when having these problems?

Hi John! Welcome to CWE. As for me, I just call in sick. But then, I've accrued about 3 months worth of sick leave, and have been at my job for 10 years. I'd suggest if you get any static from your employer, that you bring him a letter from your neurologist. Explaining what you have, what to do to help you if you have a seizure at work, etc. My workplace has been fantastic. Best of luck. And welcome to CWE.
