Just had an email from my sons Nureologist with his MRI results. Just another wierd piece of the puzzle. "There is an area of inflammation in the left putamen. This is part of the basal ganglia that controls movement on the right-hand side of the body." He has asked for the discs to be sent to him so he can discuss it with his colleagues. He is also waiting on the results of his LP and bloods which should be in within a week or two.
It seemed strange to me not that they found something but that it was on his left side as it is the left side of his body he has trouble with weakness etc and his EEG showed slower brain waves on the back right of his brain.
We see the Nureo mid August so hopefully all the test results will be in by then but looks like no clear answer yet but I see it as at least one step closer.
If anyone has any info on the part of the brain mentioned above and if swelling there could cause his seizures I would appreciate it.
Thanks.
