Anyone else experience muscle weakness?

All today my legs have been too weak to hold me up properly.This is a fairly common problem for me but this is the first time out had lasted all day. Even when lying down my legsfeel not quite there.

It's scaring the heck out of me. I can't go anywhere by myself and rarely feel like leaving the house anyway. is this normal?

Oh and I'm on 250 mg of lamictal a day.
 
Ok, I've progressed to a point where I can't trust my legs for more than a couple of metres. I'm jerky and nauseous and my breathing is quite shallow. I'm wondering at what point I should consider an ambulance...
 
Well I'm now feeling a bit better. I can walk without leaning on anything. I'm not nauseous anymore.
But I can't stand up straight, and my husbands freaked out. He seems upset with me for finding it funny.
I don't like this. I'm tired of feeling so useless.
 
Have you seen your doc about this muscle weakness? It could be a sign of a spinal problem. Is it in both legs or just one?
 
Mentioned it to my neuro but he didn't seem phased. I'll make an appointment with my gp after the weekend.
It starts with the left leg and then progresses to the right. I think I'm developing a lamictal rash too. :(
 
Oh no! Ask your doc about the rash too. If there's any doubt, if the rash progresses quickly and/or you feel your breathing is affected, go to the ER.
 
So I'm off to the hospital this morning. The muscle weakness is back. I'm twitching and jerking. My rash has not progressed but my tongue feels sore and swollen and my breathing is shallow. I hope I'm just being a worry wart.

Well it turns out I was most likely having complex partial seizures. I worry considering the one I originally posted about lasted 12 hours.

They have me 5 mg of diazepam which helped a lot. After I slept for a few hours they sent me home to sleep. I'm still exhausted. Oh and the rash was nothing to worry about.
 
I'm glad the rash wasn't serious -- is it going away?

No, it turns out the rash is ringworm (yuck!) and I need to get to the pharmacy to get a cream for it.

My legs haven't wobbled in over 24 hours now, so that's good. I'm about to squeeze another nap in I think.
