my brain likes to seize

the last time i felt this way, i was not on any meds. no tcs but i had a gustatory simple partial today. it also feels as if, everytime i turn my head i feel light headed. i'm not sure if it's dizziness but i know that it's an off-balanced feeling and it's uncomfortable.

i'm on a small level of depakote that was working for a while but now i think i have to increase. its dissapointing. every time i think its under control, something happens. i just scheduled my road test and now i'm not sure if i have to cancel it. i'm going to see my neuro in a couple of days for an increase in dosage.

i didn't get that much sleep last nigh, which may not be ideal, but i've gotten less before and this didn't happenonder:

wonder if Nak is right. Many of us are affected by weather. Finding the right temp to be in/around is important, and sometimes difficult. Perhaps trying to find a way to cool down more at night would help more???

I have a similar feeling. For me, when I turn my head and then stop, it's like the insides of my head actually physically keep turning. My head also feels unusually heavy. I think, at least in my case, Nakamova and Meetz are right. This heat completely saps my energy and makes me feel

its not that i couldn't sleep, i just got home really late. i'm just worried. i work at a place where having a seizure can be really dangerous. i work in a pre school for special needs kids.

I'm so sorry about your seizure and the possibility of raising the dosage of your medication. And sorry that it makes things worrysome at work.

The body can create a resistance to an AED, over time.

ScienceDaily (Sep. 12, 2006) — A new critical review by Dr. Wolfgang Loscher and Dr. Dieter Schmidt shows that repeated administration of antiepileptic drug (AED) therapy has diminishing results in preventing seizures in epileptic patients. In clinical trials, the number of patients remaining seizure-free declines over time with prolonged treatment. This review explores how acquired tolerance, the adaptive response of the body to foreign substances, as opposed to innate tolerance (which occurs in patients naturally resistant to certain medications) is responsible for this diminishing effect.
