I have had epilepsy all my life, and can give some advice, but would also like to know a few things about what others are doing. I have had some recent setbacks, so any new advice is welcome!

Although the exact cause of RLS is unknown, a number of conditions are associated with it including:
* Iron deficiency
* Low dopamine levels
* Lesions within the spinal cord or peripheral nerves
* Pregnancy-related deficiencies in iron, folate, and magnesium (Lee KA et al 2001; Manconi M et al 2004)
* Kidney disease, particularly end-stage kidney disease
* Medications, such as tricyclic antidepressants, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, lithium, and caffeine (National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute 2000)

Patients with suspected restless legs syndrome who are sensitive to caffeine, alcohol, or nicotine should avoid these substances.
Supplementation to correct deficiencies in vitamins (eg, folate), electrolytes (eg, magnesium) (7), or iron may improve symptoms. Patients with prominent varicose veins in the legs.
Not sure if the B complex helps, I have not been on it fo long enought to know. I do take a magnesium citrate supplement, it seems to help me sleep. Magnesium citrate is supposed to be the most absorbable kind. What I have found that helps is daily excercise, at least it seems that way. Does your daughter get a good amount?
