Hi there everyone, I am a first time visitor to this forum. I joined for my partner Chris. He lost his father in March this year and on 30th April suffered a seizure at 2 am. I thought he was having a nightmare so just shoved him and told him to wake up. Then at 7.30 in the morning he let out an almighty groan and started shaking. I was completely freaked out and called 999. He was tested at hospital and released later on in the day. He slept for nearly 48 hours and seemed to just function, no emotions, no conversation. This went on for a week. He had a few "wierd" episodes where he would speak but didn't make any sense these lasted for only 20 seconds or so. Then on 31st may he suffered another seizure. This time I just made sure he was safe (these seizures only happen when he is asleep) He has been for an EEG which has revealed increased brain activity and is being referred to a neurologist. He has been prescribed Beta Blockers for anxiety. MRI on thursday. I am so pleased to have found this forum It has given me lots of information. Is anxiety a common symptom of epilepsy?
