right now it is just frustrating..and he is 2...he just turned 2 in october..so still a young 2..so he can't exactly tell me what is going on with him....anyone have any advice for me

Welcome Denise

Theres' a lot of parents here that are very helpful (just like the ones who aren't parents lol). You might want to check out the Nursery & see what is going on there that might help you out. http://www.coping-with-epilepsy.com/forums/f42/

I was born with my seizures & I know that my visible symptoms were that I'd hyperventilate in a way that sort of sounded like laughing, & my pupils would dilate then shrink back after the seizure (I'm told that's common) as well as get specific facial twitches. I'm sure there were other symptoms but I wasn't aware of them all. What would be best is to be as observant as possible & get to know your childs symptoms best you can.

There are also other things you can try in conjunction with his meds, check out the list http://www.coping-with-epilepsy.com/index.php?p=alternative-treatments There's a few people that have tried various alternative treatments & are very free with sharing their experiences..

Hi Denise - Welcome again
Does Evan have any other symptoms? GI issues, eczema, rashes, delays ?

In a way that most likely would be a good sign.
If it were my son, immediately I would go through the cupboards and eliminate ALL foods that are processed, and have ANY questionable ingredients. I would begin with eating fresh fresh foods. You might consider testing, but I have found that from research many are not 100% reliable and that the best test is to just eliminate the offending foods. Cut back on refined grains and eliminate wheat and cow dairy.

Keep a journal or a calendar of events and side effects that you notice.
