I haven't had opportunity to learn about it, so I don't have any comments/opinion on that specific product.

One important distinction here: The hairnet of electrode sensors looks identical but there are two firmware versions. The EPOC is for gaming control and is $299. The EEG is for looking at brainwaves and is $750, twice as much. If Emotiv hears there is a demand from people here, they may be talked into creating a home version of the EEG style, which is designed for professionals and researchers.
