Long time no see my friends!

I have a question?!
I was started on topamax/Gaba 50mg/900mg 3x daily combo and I feel like i'm in a fog and out of it has anyone been on this mix before?
and if so does this feel go away?

The only good thing I can say is this is the first time I can say is I haven't had any seizures for a week now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rock::rock:
So I'm almost willing to deal with this issue to stay seizure free but it's an annoying issue.

But want the brains here opinions.

Hey Mike, I haven't tried that particular combo, but I'm glad to hear you're seizure-free! How long have you been on the meds? Some side effects lessen or go away after a month or so. If the fogginess persists and you continue to remain seizure-free, you could also ask your doc about very slightly reducing your dosage to see if it helps.

It's been a week now that I've been a week seizure free and going strong! here's to hoping it stays that way!!!!!!!!

Hey Thornton,

I'm on Gabapentin, but i only take 600mg 3x daily. My doc says that this is the upper limit what i'm taking right now. I wondered why he said that, since i've read were other's take more.

I like this Med because it has helped me "schedule" my seizures for the mornings. Since i leave a gap of 1 hr after waking to take this med, my seizures happen in that 1hr period, when i'm not on medication and in the safety of my home. Before this med, I would have my seizures at any time during the day. I'm only taking one drug for my seizures, i don't believe in mixing drugs, but each to their own. Personally I don't think the drug is totally controlling my seizures, but causing them to happen in the morning is a miracle i am very happy with. 17 of my last 19 seizures have been in the mornings. I like those odds.

My seizures happen once a month, but this year they have happened like once every 2 months, so it could be the meds I'm on causing this, or other changes i have done within the last year with my life. I don't remember of any issues when i started on this drug 2 yrs ago. And so far I'm really happy I haven't had any side effects that i did with the other meds i have been on, namely Keppra, Dilantin and Lamo-trigine.

I've never had Topamax, so not sure what that med is about.

I take Topamax 400MG
I'm happy your seizure free for a week and hope u stay that way. I went15 days sz free and bam had one. I take 5 drugs for my sz's Tegretol,Topamax,Clonazepam,Onfi,Phenobarbitol.

I never know when my sz's might strike.
