Hi folks
I have no Idea how forums work. I don't even know if I'm in the right place to
put this.
Any help would be appreciated

I think I have a bit figured out now.

To start
I'm 60
had seizures since 95
Strange type called Jalastic.
I get up usually from sleeping or lying down. I then walk around Laughing or chuckling
Sometimes it lasts for only a few seconds, where I don't even get up out of bed or off the couch.
other times it's longer and I walk all the way down the hallway. Sometimes I get
continuous where they last for hours but not constant. I'll have one then 5 min later another one this can.
I take some major knock out pills.
Pretty weird.
I've been to Ontario where they did some experimental surgery.
Because they couldn't figure out where the seizure started they thought if they
put the sensors inside the skull they may get better resaults. It didn't work. I now have
some 5 holes in my skull. It's ok except on windy days where you can hear the whistling
Just kiddin. I'm retired now still get a lot of seizures.
I take two types of meds Lamictal the other Tegrital I think.
Well that's my history and I'm sticking to it. LOL

If you're not sure how to navigate the forum, you can always post a question -- CWE members are very helpful and full of good advice about just about everything.

I think we have a few other member with Gelastic Seizures, so you may be able to compare notes.

Unreal someone else like me. How would I find them to compare notes ( so to speak)
It's very strange that someone else has them, because When I went to a new Neurologist
The guy had never heard of them. Guess he must have missed that class. LOL I didn't like him anyways.
As for questions thanks everyone for the help.
 
 
For 17 years I have had them and never even thought of checking out the web for more info. Man sometimes I wonder where my head was buried.
From what I've seen in just a few days, this could open some major doors for me.
My son said that pot might help, because he did some reading. That started me to look for some help. That is why I'm hear. So far it seems like I'm going to be getting way more that I expected.
