yep he is a sheltie, his name is philip. how old is you missy. I've always wanted a huskey but I have cats.

Zanex is not working was givin a new med propranolol its not working either. Supposed to talk to the doc again tomarrow.

Well they are going in a whole different direction with the propranolol...that's encouraging. I hope this means they are getting somewhere! It seems like they are paying attention now at least. I hope today is a good day for you.

not really doing any better . i have to rock myself constantly to help with the pain of the shakiness. its not really external shakiness it is internal, does that make ant since. thanks for caring lj

That does make sense. I'm sorry that it is painful as well. Can you take any pain relief? I sometimes rock and hum to myself at my low points too with my eyes closed. This may sound strange but I also pet my own head like I'm a puppy dog and it's soothing. Don't knock it until you try it. You are strong. Hang on there.

Meds are still doing nothing. Was told to up my lexapro and continue to take other meds. Will have to wait till monday to see if that will work. Sadly I'm guessing not. Had another seizure or whatever at my friend house yesterday. Having to rock myself and be in pain constantly is getting tiresome.

I feel terrible for you having to go through all of this! I hope Monday finds some answers for you. To answer your previous question about my dog, she is 4 and terribly spoiled. We had a cat with her and had no problems. Even when our cat passed last year (she was 18) the dog missed her. Looked for her everywhere. Let us know how monday goes!

Well I feel slightly better today.not sure how i feel about that. I'm glad of coarse that I'm feeling better but that probably means the symtoms are from anxiety.

humm maybe a can have a husky then.

That's weird.....I meant that the cat was eighteen.....perhaps it is a Friday thing....I am so glad that you are feeling better! You know that seizures are a great cause of anxiety. Make sure that you follow up with the doctor either way

Thanks, Shakiness is increasing some since I've been up but I'm tring to stay calm.

Whatever is going on with you...if they can find something that helps and that makes your life more livable then it doesn't matter what the cause is.
Life has been a small slice of hell for you lately.
I met a woman in the E.R. department that had broken her arm but she was very calm.
She saw me and my head tremor that was going on at the time and she was saying how she gets seizures whenever she gets stressed out or anxious and that she has forced herself and taught herself methods of relaxation to get through her life.
She gave me the name of her neurologist and was really very sweet.
We all want answers but most of the time I just want peace and relief.
I hope you get that soon.
I hope today is a good day that the shakiness doesn't increase.

Oh dear. Have you found any way to cope yet besides rocking yourself and curling up in a ball? I sometimes try to visualize a warm blanket wrapped around me and gently hum.
Are you ok?

Its just so frustrating that I may be causing this all to happen to myself. getting sick to my stomach again. sorry for all my complaining.

Just rocking I cant stop moving or the pain becomes unbearable.Tightening all my muscles then relaxing helps a little too.

Don't blame yourself. Deep breaths! I think it's healthy to talk about it. You are uniquely you and even though you feel like your own worst enemy maybe you can try being your own best friend today? Is there anything you can think of doing today that you might enjoy? What can you do today to treat yourself?
By the way, the tightening your muscles and then relaxing is a great technique. I've heard that if you try to focus on every muscle in your body one muscle at a time that it's very soothing. Start with your toes, then your feet, then your calf muscles....
it makes me sleepy just thinking about it!

I think i will take a nap for awhile then I have some chores to do.Thanks for caring.

I hope you're feeling okay- keep your chin up! You aren't crazy...psychogenic seizures are just your mind's way of converting troubling thoughts into movement. You're not insane, you're not faking, you're exhibiting classic symptoms (if you do have PNES). A seizure is a seizure and seizures mean "out of control" which is exactly what's happening right now.

Remember also that there are lots of people with both PNES and epileptic seizures so just because they haven't found one doesn't mean the other isn't possibly there...

Stay strong and let us know how things go.
