My dr started me on depakote. a risk because of pcos but its working! i'm on the second day and i can now count my number of jerks a day. i had a bad shake today and i was exhausted but its better than it was. the medication itself is exhausting but i think it will wear off. if it wont get better than this, that fine with me! finally i'm able to have a conversation without blanking out or accidentally punching someone because of my uncontrolled limbs lol. it is still a risk, but sooo much better. i haven't written in a while but i have been online. how are you guys?

Gr33nr0se,

I am SO HAPPY that the Depakote is working for you! I'm hoping that the side effects wear off soon. I'm especially happy that you are feeling better. :)

We are all just about the same as when you left - more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

That's great news -- It must feel wonderful to feel more like yourself!. I hope you can get more energy as you adjust to the med.

Hey gr33nr0se, good to see you posting again!

Only on a new med, and results after two days! That's pretty quick. I had to look up pcos *is embarassed* You have promising results so far.

I've had two of my meds increased, another will be increased next Friday, and I think my Tegretol probably will be, too. Definitely not on top of my sp or nocturnal seizures, but continuing to identify and address triggers on a weekly basis.

Be well!
Hugs,

chel,
hopefully your increases will do something. :)
i've had pcos for the past three or four years so i don't rly think about who knows what it is lol. its kinda stupid. it's polycystic ovarian syndrome. and depakote has been proven to cause cysts. it's not ideal for people with pcos but its my only option right now. my neuro is really scared to put me on lamictal after that rash.

the shake today was terrifying but its only one. usualy i have like five a day. yesterday i had a new, and freaky complex partial where the room turned on its side but that has only happened once. hopefully you will have similar results.

btw, u said you live in australia? australian sheepdogs are 100% born with the ability to predict seizures. maybe you should look into a seizure alert/response dog. i am. good luck :)

Glad to see you back :) I am so happy to hear that you are having some relieve! About time!! let us know if you start to feel more energy. Take care
