That is my next apt with my psych. The first in 3 months. I see him this week then my nuero the following.

I have said it in other posts but just incase you hadn't gotten it I'll let you know again, I have Bipolar 1 and Complex PTSD. I have been on Social Security Disability for them since 2000.

I had my stroke in July 2012. In the hospital they immedialtely took me off LaTuda which I had been on for 2 1/2 years. It is an anti-psychotic that was being used as a mood stabilizer for me (the do the same thing with antiepileptic drugs too). It had been a life saver for me as far as my moods but it also according to the nuerologists there causes strokes high cholesterol (my arteries were blocked) and I found out recently seizures (although mine are caused by scaring from the stroke). He wanted me back on it when I got out. Said it was a new drug and studies were not sure yet. I eventually made the remark about seizures too . aHe didn't believe me. A few months ago he had his 2nd patient have siezures that was taking it , now he believes. As long as its not me he always believes. I have no choice where to go as I am on Medicare and Medicaid and cant drive.

I just got my blood test in the mail from the dr today. My lithium level is low. I read I shouldn't be on lithium. My nuero says its ok but he did make me get off the remron right away without asking my psych! When they took that CBC level I told them I had no idea I was going that day until they showed up. No one called! :soap: I had already ate and had coffee. She didn't care so Im sure level are all off. :pfft: Im so sick of dr.s Or rather just sick of being sick. :twocents:

I will be here cheering you on the whole way! Changing meds is NEVER easy. Especially with those types of side effects.

Maybe sometimes we think about it to much before it happens because I know this is consuming my mind to the point I cant stand to eat. Which isn't good when you are taking some of the meds we take.

Thanks!

well the side affect of the med is stuff like purple pee (i am on toliet head number 3), and cornea damage, and liver damage so i am trying to switch to something with less side effects) potiga to vimpat.

and i dont eat enough either I have to make myself do it.
