Kater has had a headache for the past 3 days. Tuesday night she started throwing up her meds. She doesn't get sick after eating, although she complains that her stomach hurts. She came home from school yesteray after only an hour because she didn't feel good, and was sleeping on her desk. Brought her home and she went straight to bed and took a 4 hour nap.

So we are off to the Dr. Her Ped. is booked full until next week, so we will have to make due with the urgent care center. Which of course means that I will have to retell her life story since they don't have any info on her.

Sorry to hear she's not faring well, hope the Doctor's
visit will work out - keep us posted with an update!

4 hours, 3 needle stabs (trust me I doubt their ability sometimes) a UA, and an X-ray later we are back!! He really didn't impress me as a Dr. I try SO hard to be positve, but that was an experience to top all others. Waited 25 minutes to see him. He was in the room for about 5 yelling at kater for not talking. (tried explaining that she is beyond shy and is even more so with unknown males since she was sexually abused for years before we knew...) There was a knock on the door, he got up and left. Came back 10 minutes later and said "sorry to leave I had another patient to see." And they all of a sudden became more important than my child why?? I can't roll my eyes far enough. :loco:

He "thinks" she may have a UTI, and is leaning toward her having a small Ulcer, therefore meaning that she has the start of an H. Pylori infection. After he said that he goes "As for the headaches, I don't know what to say" Okay. Nevermind. Thanks for your time. I WILL go see her regular Dr. ASAP.

But she is on an antibiotic and some medicine to make the acid less in her stomach so that if it is a true ulcer it can heal.

No other way to say it....that doctor was a jerk. THere's a reason he's in urgent care....*sigh* Actually, I shouldn't say that...as I've had some really great urgent care doctors. But still, that guy was a twit.
