has anyone ever used them in order to find a job that will help with any learning curves and special needs you have because of your epilepsy? The leader of my support group suggested I look in to it.

I used Voc Rehab a long time ago. They helped my with training and paid for classes to get me into the position i'm in now. I can't say I love my job but with out it I don't know what I 'd be doing now. I will tell you a funny story.. When I first started they gave me a test that was an interest test. After taking the test the results found I had the same interests as bus drivers! How about that and epileptic bus driver  They were quick to point out that the test meant that I had same interest as bus drivers not that I would be a bus driver.

I do recommend them. Especially if you have no other formal training.

If this is too personal, you don't have to answer, but are you now registered as disabled from using the program? If so, do you worry that it will affect any future job search you have outside of using their program?

I was never labeled as disabled. Now granted I used the program 25 years ago. maybe things have changed but I don't regret going to them for help.

greetings

Thanks for bringing up this topic. I have an appointment this month to get some vocational skills. Am 55 and have had E since childhood. My hubby bailed on me 5. Months ago and what little experience I have working in a law office is too taxing on my brain. Got to support myself so hoping I can get help. I don't have seizures regularly but between years of those and meds it has taken a toll. Good luck to you!
