Opinions.. Topamax side effects? or Seizures trying to "get through"?

pupils dilate. big small big small... left ear i hear a hissing then i get dizzy light headed flushed and feel nasea they all coincide...all happen together and multiple times a day every day.. and frequent weeks before my period.. rarely do i have a free day with nothing.. a GOOD day..

my epilepsy dr says no way they are seizures...that the topamax is doing its job and controling my complex partial seizures..

im in process to schedule a 5 day hosital VEEG after whivh we will discuss possible medication changes..

i still think differently example

feel fine before going to dave and busters

went to play a game with wayyy too many LED fashing lights all it too to set me off and ruin my night, had to go to a different game, set off my symptoms.. by an hour later head bothered me eyes were going and just makes me feel ill.

How long ago was your last medication increase? If it was in the past few weeks, it could be that your body is still adjusting to the increase. The symptoms that occur during the adjustment process, and how long that adjustment takes, can be different for everyone.
 
I have what I call mini seizure-like episodes (they are a small piece of what would occur during a typical seizure). Based on the timing of them, both my doctor and I are fairly convinced that these would otherwise have been a full seizure. Are any of what you described pieces of what would occur during a full seizure?
 
i would have to say possible .... at the beggining.... cause with my seizures i dont remember.. its like"sleepwalking" i eat talk etc have sex, but dont remember... i get lathargic, slurred speech, drunk like, droopy eyes etc, blackouts, memory loss and dont remember, i get unbalanced, i once fell into my garden soaker tub, didnt even remember doing that bruises and all.... so it is possible...
 
Just wanted to let you know that I'm going to "bow out" at this point but didn't want you to think I was starting to ignore our discussion. Let's see what others have to offer - I'll be curious as well.
 
Hey, Moosaysthcow & masterjen: I'm on a dual therapy of Topiramate & Lyrica. 200/200 of the Topiramate, and 300/200 of the Lyrica in the morning & evening. I used to take Keppra for a number of years, but my neuro & I replaced it with the Topiramate on June 3rd of this year. Believe it or not, I'm constantly hungry! :pop: I don't know if the Topiramate has changed my metabolism somehow, but my weight hasn't changed. Yesterday was my first seizure-like activity. I was working on my computer, and suddenly a slow-motion, tunnel-vision feeling washed over me. So this is my Topiramate Tale. I hope this wasn't a seizure trying to break through.
