How bad has one person hurt themselves during a seizure? Since having grand mal seizures since 1993, I believe the worst for me would be scrapes and bruises. I've been extremely lucky! Hope everyone is doing good!
 
Had a Grand-mal while driving west on 10 in Pamona ca. 65 mph, rolled the truck,banged up the head & son walkes away without a scratch.hurt myself more from rolling out of bed from one.
 
During a seizure, bruises on my hand and mildly pulled muscles. Because of seizures (due to medication causing unsteadiness): hairline fracture of upper jaw, mild concussion, damage to two teeth (all in the same incident).
 
i always bite my tongue horribly during seizures, i can hardly eat anything for days. the only other thing ive done is one time i was standing next to a desk and fell and hit my head on the corner so i had a huge bump on my head. mostly just the obvious sore muscles.
 
Before actually being diagnosed, I had my first TC seizure on the way out of the shower. As I passed out, I fell on the hot water and was lying there, seizing long enough to suffer 2nd and 3rd degree burns. Spent two months in the hospital and had several debridement surgeries and skin grafts. Once I was put on meds and I still suffered CPs and some TCs with falls. Had a car accident and suffered a sore sternum and neck. Other times, I broke my glasses, bit my tongue and somehow gave myself a black eye.
 
There isn't just one seizure with me since I've been having them since1963.

I had a seizure in the shower and broke my nose. I also ended up with grease all over me from cooking and 2nd degree burns.I've busted my head open from falling out of the shower.I only remember my seizures when I hurt myself.

A few bumps, scrapes, and a mess of bruises. My managers say they're quite surprised I haven't banged my head against the clothing fixtures, as they seem to be really dense in my area.
 
I once elevated my right leg during what my doctor thinks was a simple-partial, and brought it down on a bowl on my coffee table, kicking the bowl across the room. I thin I almost broke my foot. The pain didn't go away for about a month.
 
Busted ribs, some spectacular lumps on the head (size of a hens egg) and the freaky Todd's paralysis.

Lumps on head, I bite the heck out of my toungue, stitches in my arm, bruises to the body as well as to the ego (like the time I stripped down to my undies and walked the hallway at my apartment building. Thanks for my neighbor getting me back inside.).
 
mostly bumps and scratches and hellish swollen and bruised tongue, except:
-trying to make it out of the shower in time a couple years ago and only getting one foot out; woke up with scratches across my back from towel bars, goose egg from head hitting tile floor, and bruised from smacking into a wall. silver lining: my head missed the toilet by two inches, would have busted open for sure.
-my last g.m. i barely got out of my sauna in time and when i woke up the corner of the glass door had just finished banging against my face for two minutes. bottom lip was the size of a golf ball as my teeth had almost gone through it and both sides of my face cut; scar on right is lightning shaped and still red. grrrr.
silver lining (it's best to find these): it was the last grand mal i've had, thank you to the best neurosurgeon ever ;)
 
gtowngirl- Wow! You definitely had it rough with epilepsy. Glad all is good and you found a great neurosurgeon. :)

(((hugs))) court... i can't imagine. may i ask if they could put it back on or...?
 
yup, sticks out a little, but you cant really tell, i wear glasses
so i still feel pretty

i also had a grand mal sitting on a curb and crushed out my few front teeth, got thosed relapsed
