My husband and I were checking out at the grocery store when I had a seizure that I just sat down on the floor and wouldn't move. The woman behind us asked if I was ok and my husband told her that I was having a seizure. The woman said it was probably because my blood sugar was low and offered him a Tic Tac to raise it. My husband told her I have epilepsy and that's why I was having the seizure. She offered him a Tic Tac again and told him it was because my of my blood sugar and my husband said it was because I have epilepsy. This went on about 5 times until my husband yelled it at her and she stopped. He finally got us checked out and took me over to a bench to sit down on until I came out of the seizure. When the woman was done checking out she came over and AGAIN asked if I needed a Tic Tac to raise my blood sugar. My husband told her I was ok now. How that woman made it out of the store with out getting punched I'll never know!

We actually got a laugh out of this because what did she think that ONE Tic Tac was going to do to help raise my blood sugar even if that's what was causing the seizure?

Unbelievable, I can't believe what she was thinking, I guess a single Tic Tac and you are good to go. it's good you can laugh about it.

Some of my seizures are caused by low blood sugar. Even a Tic Tac has enough sugar to raise my blood sugar. I have Diabetes Type 2. I would have taken it.

She probably knows someone who is a diabetic. She was just trying to help, that's all.

Even though she did the wrong thing, she still cared enough to try to do something.
