How long does it take for 1ml twice a day to leave ones system?
My son spiked a fever over 103, raw throat, and eyes that burned and were blood shot, he could not tolerate a bright room. ETA: His lips also itch. He is still itching them now using his teeth. No other symptoms except the aches/pains that went with fever. His fever may have broke last night, will know once morning dose of Ibuprofin wears off. Last dose of Keppra was Sunday morning, so, its been 48 hours since Keppra. Doctor said she could not say if his reaction was allergic or viral (strep test done twice - negative). Prior to all this he had increased frontal seizures (72 hrs before, several, the night after - did not notice any, the night before fever, one that I noticed)
Above said, the plan is to keep him off the keppra (he is on something else at night to keep seizures from breaking through) for one week, then reintroduce the Keppra but over a longer period of time...See what happens once he hits the 1ml twice a day mark again.
What do you all think? My husband, myself, and my 2yr old are not sick, nor have we been anywhere to be around anyone that is sick, since I had a sever neck problem for the past 2 1/2 weeks, which I will be addressing with a neuro in the next hour. I'm seeing 'red flags', so worried about reintroducing Keppra again.
