pre-assessment confusion...?

Ive been put on the waiting list for surgery, i was told it would be a good 6-12month wait.
yesterday i recieved a letter to attend a pre-assessment next week....does this mean the operation will be sooner than they said or is it normal for it to be this early before surgery?

Depends what they are assessing -- were there any specifics in the letter? is there someone you can call to get some clarification?
 
Hi Jo,

When I got my assessment my Drs. started to do testing on me to see if it was safe for me to have the surgery done. If you have already had the testing done there may be a chance that you can have the surgery sooner, the best thing to do is ask your Dr. I wish you the best of luck and May God Bless You!
