Price of Lamotrigine ER

I'll admit, my insurance is amazing for hospital/doctor visits but TERRIBLE for prescriptions. I was getting so sick from the Lamictal (nausea, throwing up, headaches and increased appetite) that they switched me to Lamotrigine ER. That seems to have helped.

However, the price is staggering. $675 a month for 60 pills. I looked into medication help agencies but we are above all the income requirements or the discount card can't be applied with our insurance. My husband says its fine since we have a large deductible but I still worry.

Anyone else have this issue? I feel so guilty.

Yeah, it's all about what your health insurance policy requires. Without insurance, Lamictal would have cost me $1000 a month. With insurance it went down to $50 a month. I'm on the generic now, which runs me about $20 per month.

What the hell???? I pay $12 for my monthly supply of lamictal xr. I can't imagine trying to pay that much. I couldn't! Thank God for tricare, it's the only reason why I'm still married to my ex (we separated over 3 years ago). What insurance do you have? I had no idea meds could be that expensive.

omg that awful...thank god for nhs...your health system seems inhuman to me...i dont get it. native american get free that i understand and so they should but how come illegals get free and you dont even if paid medicare or a child what happens if child not insured do dr watch them die
