Is anyone or has anyone taken Primadone? It was just added to my Dilantin. Any comments? Ive had some weird reactions. Please let me know. Thanks

Thanks for the reply, I have strange and sometimes scary dreams. Also more confusion if that is possible. Do you think it will go away?

It's possible the nightmares are a side effect of the Primidone, or the Primidone in combo with the Dilantin. Have your blood levels been checked? Dilantin interacts with Primidone -- it can significantly increase the amount of Phenobarbital in your bloodstream -- so any tapering on or off needs to be done very slowly, with monitoring of the blood levels to make sure you're not ending up with too much Phenobarbital in your system. Keep a journal -- If the weird side effects have been going on for a long time and continue to go on or get worse, check in with your neuro.
