I'm just wondering how how many of you on here have received a "Private Message" from any one since you have been on here?

Terri

I've been hanging around CWE for almost ten years(!), and I'm a moderator, so I've received quite a few -- mostly questions or concerns relating to the forum.

Yes.
as long as it's mutually ok & comfortable.

But I have to say a while back, what began as a query, become rather weird & strange. I get the impression the person caused some drama.. for some forum members..(Since banned)from someone who I chose not to respond to anymore.

Yes I have.

Some have been talking about things epilepsy and non epilepsy related. I've made a few friends.

I also have gotten those messages that started out as questions then turned weird and strange. I'll still get them from time to time from the same people but just ignore them.

I have received several PM's since I have been here. I have sent out several.

I use to go visit everyone. Now only a few visit me. Some visit me for different reasons. I always like the PM's. It's a nice way to get to know people.

I also like the Visitor Messages, too. When I want to say a Hi to someone.

I get some PMs related to posts on the forum, or for questions that they'd rather not share with everyone, and some just friendly chat stuff. Generally, I've started it, so if I PM someone, then they usually respond. Though, I certainly wouldn't worry if you hadn't received one.

I know I've PM'd different folks with all sorts of questions, especially if I feel (based on their previous responses on the forum) that they might be able to specifically answer a question or provide insight, then I sometimes just hit them directly.

Hopefully, I'm not the oddball annoying everyone..! (Nak, put me at ease here!) :)

I think PM chats are nice. There is some stuff that you would not want to put out there for the whole board to see but if you correspond with someone for a while and feel comfortable sharing a little more, that can be really fun.

No worries Dignan, I'm always happy to answer questions or chat via PM! :) If anyone feels bothered, threatened or otherwise distressed by a PM they should let Bernard or a moderator know so that we can straighten things out.

I have noticed that quite a few do not have Visitor Messages. That is up to each person whether they want it or not. It brightens up a site.
