My complex partial seizures are still not under control.

I've been on lamictal, lyrica, neurontin, and am on Keppra right now. the lamictal had me seizure free for about 1-2 months, keppra for about a month, but it started back up again.

My dr. is suggesting i go have a pro-longed eeg, but doesnt' want to change my medication right now.

Is the pro-onged eeg really going to tell us anything? If it does, anything other that he can do besides more med changes?

wellllll

that would depend on your definition of a prolonged EEG. Personally, I've had several 4 or 5 day ambulatory EEGs in the last 6 months, and they have proved quite valuable.

Yes, my meds were UPPED, and a new med just recently added to the mix (URG), but that's because of the types of seizures that were found. I'm now up to four types..........all of them nocturnal, so rest is something that I don't always get very much of, and my docs are ALL working on figuring out a way to make sure that I do.

Good luck, and let us know how things go!
