Does anyone have what could be called a prodrome ... "An early symptom indicating the onset of an attack or a disease." Before my left shoulder starts twitching and jerking it is achy, uncomfortable, and feels tense and ready to go. To the touch (if you compared arms) it doesn't feel any different than my other shoulder. My left shoulder to anyone else would appear to have the same tenseness, tightness, etc as my right. Sometimes this happens hours before a seizure happens and sometimes minutes before. I am not sure if it would be an aura or a simple seizure. When I have read about auras and simple partials, I have not seen anyplace mention uncomfortable tightness, discomfort, pain, etc. Confused.

Looking forward to reading any answers. My understanding of an aura (which may be wrong) is a simple partial seizure that occurs within a few seconds to no more than a minute of a full-on seizure. But similar to you, I have had a big twitch of a foot and/or shoulder occur as long as 8 hours before a significant seizure. Like a warning of a seizure, right? In my case the twitch/jump is followed later by a seizure about 80% of the time.
