Hey all, I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the drug Provigil. I heard it was for narcolepsy and wondered if anyone had any experience with it as a means to fight fatigue.

From what I read, it seems like it might actually increase seizures, but just wanted to throw it out there and see if anyone had knowledge or experience..

I'm not really looking into taking it personally, but was doing some research and after reading about it, I got curious about how it might work neurologically speaking..

Since it's meant to have a stimulating effect, it might not be great idea for someone woth epilepsy. These are its potential side effects:
"excitation or agitation, insomnia, anxiety, irritability, aggressiveness, confusion, nervousness, tremor, palpitations, sleep disturbances, nausea, and diarrhea."

Hi Check out : "make me stay awake"
it is a bbc documentary about staying awake and there is a section on modafinil (provigil), it wont let me put a link up for you,

I have dabbled (lots of research and thought about pros and cons before hand, as didn't get these through a doc) in the main I believed it work (with some of side effects namakova listed) looking back I believe the reasoning I did this, may have been due to seizure's making me tired but never realised, for a long while I was having CPS's)
not tried it since I realised and got the seizure thing sorted and they started feed me medication, when I dabbling this was two maybe three years prior !
